Concert with Wivenhoe Orchestra May 2024
On 14th May 2024, we performed with the Wivenhoe Orchestra. It was great to sing with local musicians in front of a packed and very appreciative audience. We hope it is something we can repeat!

Informal concert to parents 2024
Continuing with the tradition we started last year, we invited our parents in for a short informal concert where we showcased the songs we have learnt so far this year. We have been focusing on singing in 2 parts; the children have mastered this skill very well and sang beautifully.

A Christmas Carol 2023
In December 2023 we were invited to sing in a promenade version of A Christmas Carol adated by Ray Oakham, a local actor and writer. It was a fabulous experience and so popular with the audience that we have to perform it twice!

Christmas Concert with The University of Essex Choir 2023
In December 2023, we performed ‘On Christmas Night’ by Bob Chilcott with The University of Essex Choir.

Outdoor concert in London 2023
In June 2023 we performed alongside the London Youth Choir and sang a selection of songs written about some of the famous historical events in London, including the great fire in 1666.

Roman River Festival 2023
We were delighted to be asked to perform at the Roman Rover Music Festival 2023. We opened the whole festival with a performance on Tuesday 26th September. The performance was very warmly received by our audience.

Informal Concert to Parents 2023
Recently, we performed an informal concert to parents. We sang some of our favourites including a Queen medley, a Greatest Showman medley and a piece by Cold Play called Viva la Vida.

Christingle 2022
Also in December 2022, the coir sang at the Christingle service held at St Mary’s Church in Wivenhoe. The sang a funky version of The Holly and the Ivy which was thoroughly enjoyed by the congregation.

Mass of the Children 2022
In December 2022 the choir sang at the University of Essex alongside the University of Essex Choir. The children performed in The Mass of the Children by John Rutter and experienced singing with a choir of more than 100 people. The children also performed a piece on their own and delighted the audience with their enthusiasm and skill.
Upcoming Concerts
We have a few exciting events lined up for the coming year which include:
a performance in the Sounds Sublime concert hosted by the esteemed choir ‘The Sixteen’ in London on July 13th
